From our hives comes the first San Marzano honey, the result of a project to protect bees and biodiversity
The time has finally come to reap the first harvest! Our bees, which have been busy for more than a year among the thousands of flowers in our fields, have produced their first long-awaited honey.
A project that began in the spring of 2023 thanks to the collaboration with apicolturaurbana.it, which helped us install 2 beehives on one of our estates, with the dual purpose of encouraging pollination between crops and protecting the bees themselves, precious insects for the survival of all living things on planet earth.
As pollen carriers, bees perform an essential role in plant reproduction and their persistence in a given environment is a sign of its health.
San Marzano has dedicated a wine to this project, a Moscato Passito called Polline (Pollen), to commemorate this sweet food of nature, a fertile grain and vehicle of life. More on the subject can be found here https://sanmarzano.wine/en/blog/api-e-tutela-della-biodiversita/
