San Marzano official wine supplier to the UK leg of Sail GP
Chasing new winds and adventures, Sail GP’s impressive F50 competition land in Plymouth, UK.
Not the crystal clear waters of the Ionian this time, but the deep blue English Sea and its fascinating cliffs.
A new, eagerly awaited stage of the international regatta of the fastest catamarans in the world, another sea capital of the Old Continent, a new collaboration in synergy between San Marzano and Sail GP.
During the event, expected to take place in Plymouth on 17 and 18 July, San Marzano wines will be consumed by guests in the Adrenaline/VIP Lounge on-shore and on board the boats that will follow the race closely.
It is with great enthusiasm that San Marzano and Sail GP announce this new chapter of their partnership, after the wonderful experience of the Italian leg in Taranto on 5 and 6 June.
It is also with great pleasure that we will discover Plymouth, a picturesque town located in the extreme south-west of the county of Devonshire and overlooking the English Channel and the estuary of the River Tamar, the calm current of which divides Devon from Cornwall.
As with Taranto, the history of Plymouth has been intertwined over the centuries with that of its sea. Its privileged position, easily defensible from enemies, made it a fundamental port of commercial exchange in Roman times and, later, one of the main military bases of the British Royal Navy.
As well as in Italy. also in the UK, Sail GP will be a big party.
Raise your glasses and.. happy sailing!
