Celebrating the first day of summer, today San Marzano presents Calce<\/strong>, a brut, bottle-fermented sparkling wine.<\/a>
Another piece in the mosaic of the winery’s continuous experimentation which, after Tramari Ros\u00e9<\/a> and Edda Bianco, <\/a>raises the bar even higher and measures itself with the bubbles of the classic method.
A further confirmation of the intention to go beyond the safe harbour of large and structured reds, such as Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria, thanks to which it is nationally and internationally renowned.<\/a>
For San Marzano, this is a whole new world of bottle-fermented sparkling wines. With this unusual expression of its production philosophy, the company demonstrates its continuing desire to create new styles, fully aware of its professional expertise and the potential of the territory.
Extraordinary material, lime (Calce<\/em>, in Italian). Simple and ancient. Stone of light, born of sandy lands and shells. The whitewashed villages of Puglia also come to mind, blinding on summer afternoons, the reflection of light on the freshly whitewashed walls and cool shelter from the scorching sun of Salento.<\/p>

Calce Spumante Brut is a classic method with fruity and mineral scents. A fine perlage and the elegant fragrance of a long ageing on the lees.
